A new addition to our collection is the bento box made by Masashi Rin, the only bentwood craftsman who has inherited the 400-year-old tradition and techniques of Sagara bentwood.
The curved parts are made of cypress, the lid and bottom are made of cedar, and the joints between the curved parts are bound together using mountain cherry bark.
The inside of the lower tier where you put the rice is left unvarnished,
The wood's temperature and humidity regulating properties mean it stays fluffy and delicious even when it cools down.
The fragrant scent of cypress is also nice.
You can choose from three types of bento boxes.
They also made a lid for the bottom tier so that it can be used as a single-tier lunch box.
It can be used as a two-tiered or single-tiered lunch box, depending on your preference.
