We have received a Hakata bento lunch box and rice container made by the 18th generation master Shibata Gyokuju.
The Shibata family has been making Hakata bentwood for generations, with a history stretching back more than 400 years. In 2007, Mariko Shibata took on the name "Tamaki" and continues to preserve the traditions and techniques as the 18th generation Shibata Tamaki.
The lunch box and rice cooker are made of tightly packed, straight-grained cedar. Cedar's moisture-regulating properties absorb excess moisture and provide moderate moisture, so rice doesn't get sticky and has a rich flavor, making it delicious even when it cools down. In addition, because it is unpainted, it is breathable and the rice does not spoil easily. Cedar is also said to have antibacterial properties.
We have new lunch boxes in ``Square 1-tier,'' ``Round 6-inch,'' and ``Large oval with deep lid,'' and rice containers in 1-go, 2-go, 3-go, and 5-go sizes.
Please consider it.
