Cafe Hut

You've never seen a coffee filter like this before. A new challenge to create new products.

This is a paper-free ceramic coffee filter called Coffe hat by 224porcelain. Hizen Yoshida ware is made in Ureshino city, Saga prefecture, famous for its tea and hot springs. 224porcelain is a porcelain brand born in the small production area of Hizen Yoshida.
The opening of the Hizen Yoshida ware kilns dates back more than 400 years. However, because it is geographically close to Arita in Saga and Hasami in Nagasaki, Yoshida has been a subcontractor for these places and has been honing its techniques in the shadows for a long time without making its name known publicly. For this reason, Hizen Yoshida does not have a unique "style" like Arita painting. In other words, "it is possible to create things freely without a set style." This can be said to be a characteristic of Hizen Yoshida.
At 224porcelain, we use our long history and the skills we have cultivated over that time as a foundation to create new, unique products without being bound by traditional values.

A coffee filter like no other.

Paper-free ceramic coffee filter. 224 Porcelain's ceramic filters are made using a special type of clay called porous ceramic, but it is said to be difficult to make them as thin as regular porcelain. However, by making the filter as thin as possible, the extraction speed is the same as that of a paper filter. This idea and the technology that makes it possible are amazing.

For those who are particular about coffee.

The far infrared effect of the porous ceramic and the micro holes remove the chlorine odor and impurities from the water, allowing you to enjoy mellow, easy-to-drink coffee. It can also be used in place of a water purifier.
Cafe Hut

A thoughtful trefoil coaster.

With a normal dripper, when you place it on a cup, you usually can't tell how much coffee is in it unless you lift it up while it's brewing.
Cafe Hut However, Coffe hat has a coaster that receives the filter in the shape of a three-leaf clover, and by leaving space in between, you can see how the coffee is dripping.
Cafe Hut

Attention to detail.

The underside of the coaster has grooves to stabilize the mug and filter and prevent them from slipping off.

[How to use coffee filters]

1. Place the filter server on the cup and place the filter in a stable position.
2. Place coffee grounds directly into the filter and pour in boiling water.
3. Adjust the amount of powder to your liking, aiming for 12g per cup (150cc).

[Tips for brewing delicious coffee]

First, pour hot water slowly over the grounds so that the coffee does not fall out, and let it steam for about 30 seconds. The grounds will expand. Once the powder has steamed sufficiently, slowly pour hot water from the center in a "N" shape. At this time, do not break the coffee wall on the edge. When the desired amount of extraction is reached, remove the filter.

For more information, please see the video below.

[Care for coffee filters]

Before using for the first time, run water or hot water through the filter several times to wash off fine dust. For regular maintenance, use hot water after use to thoroughly wash off any remaining coffee grounds and oil. Water is fine, but hot water seems to be better at removing oil. Do not wash with detergent as it will get into the filter. Regular maintenance of the Coffe hat coffee filter will ensure that you can use it for a long time.

If you feel that the flow of hot water is becoming slower, please refer to the video below for cleaning instructions.

The filter will become much thicker during maintenance so please be careful not to get burned.
