Soy sauce dispenser and diamond-carved soup bowl from "224porcelain." Hizen Yoshida ware is made in Ureshino, Saga Prefecture, famous for its tea and hot springs. "224porcelain" is a porcelain brand born in the small production area, Hizen Yoshida. The opening of the Hizen Yoshida ware kiln dates back more than 400 years. However, because it is geographically close to Arita in Saga and Hasami in Nagasaki, Yoshida's name has not been seen much as a subcontractor for those companies, and it has been honing its skills in the shadows for a long time. For this reason, Hizen Yoshida does not have a unique "style" like Arita painting. In other words, "it is possible to create things freely without a fixed style." That can be said to be a characteristic of Hizen Yoshida. 224porcelain is based on a long history and the skills it has cultivated, but it is not bound by past values and creates new things that are unique.
