Hizen Yoshida ware is a type of porcelain made in Ureshino City, Saga Prefecture, which is famous for its tea ceremony and for being one of the leading hot spring areas in Japan. "224porcelain" is a porcelain brand that was born in this small production area, Hizen Yoshida.
The opening of the Hizen Yoshida ware kilns dates back more than 400 years. However, because it is geographically close to Arita in Saga and Hasami in Nagasaki, Yoshida has been a subcontractor for these places and has been honing its techniques in the shadows for a long time without making its name known publicly. For this reason, Hizen Yoshida does not have a unique "style" like Arita painting. In other words, "it is possible to create things freely without a set style." This can be said to be a characteristic of Hizen Yoshida.

Representative and maker Tsuji Satoshi is the eldest son of Tsuji Kenji, the sixth generation head of Yoyama Kiln, and has spent his childhood surrounded by Yoshida pottery and the beautiful mountains. He trained under a potter (wheel wheel master) at his family's Tsujiyo Pottery Factory, and attended the Arita Ceramics College to acquire skills and knowledge. Through his involvement in the manufacturing process, he has created unique and new products with the desire to "make sure Hizen Yoshida ware is not forgotten and that more people know about it. I want to clarify the significance of making pottery here (in Yoshida)."
"224porcelain" is a Hizen Yoshida-yaki porcelain brand launched by creator Satoshi Tsuji in 2012. Based on the techniques cultivated over a long history, the brand is currently attracting a lot of attention for creating new and unique products.
