Hoya Kobo ｜ Bowls (large and small)

Bowls (large and small) made by Inahoya Kobo, a pottery studio in Shigaraki Town, Shiga Prefecture. It has a soft, cute shape and a warm texture. Shigaraki is known as a land that produces high-quality ceramic clay, and the traditional techniques that have been cultivated over its long history have been passed down to the present day, making it one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns.

Hoya Kobo's bowls have a familiar round shape decorated with stripes and stars, making them easy to pair with any dish. It is a convenient size that can be used both large and small as the main dish on the daily dinner table.

Cute design and shape

The round shapes are not perfect circles, but have a warm, handmade feel. Similarly, the artist carefully draws each stripe pattern. This makes it even cuter.

There are two sizes: large (Φ15cm, height 4.5cm) and small (Φ10cm, height 4.5cm). The large bowl can be used to serve salad or as a small rice bowl. The small bowls can be used to serve salads, stews, or desserts. They are cute dishes that go well with both Japanese and Western cuisine.
As you use it every day, you will begin to see the crazing that is unique to pottery. Enjoy watching the expressions on the pottery as it develops.
Hoya Kobo has a workshop in Shigaraki Town, Shiga Prefecture. The cute and soft designs, shapes, and colors are unique to Hoya Kobo. They attract so many people that there are long queues when they set up a stall at an event.
