Some people say that wooden tableware is difficult to maintain, but at Kobo Yasu, the tableware is painted with a prepolymer that is allowed to penetrate the wood, and then the surface is scraped again to bring out the original texture of the wood, and finally finished with walnut oil. By taking the time and effort, we are able to create wooden vessels that can be used for a long time while retaining the natural texture of the wood.

Easy to maintain.

Although wooden tableware is often thought of as difficult to maintain, Kobo Yasu's tableware is very easy to maintain thanks to its unique finishing process. Once every six months, anywhere you feel that some of the oil has worn off, apply walnut oil, perilla oil, or linseed oil to a paper towel. After applying, wipe off any excess oil and let dry in a well-ventilated, shady area. By doing this, you can continue to use the tableware in good condition for many years.
*When applying oil, be sure to wet the kitchen paper with water before disposing of it.
