[BASE]
This product line, proposed by a woodworker who carves the base of lacquerware, makes use of the beauty of the wood that would otherwise be hidden and the texture of the base material.

BASE 01 Soup bowl

The soup bowl features a high base and is finished with wiped lacquer. It is large and has a dignified presence. With a stable base, an easy-to-hold size, and just the right amount of capacity, Rokurosha's original soup bowl is easy to use and packed with attention to detail. Compared to ordinary bowls, the design is also excellent, as it curves almost vertically.

Wiped lacquer finish

Rokurosha's soup bowls come in two types: "raw lacquer finish" and "black lacquer finish." Both types are applied by rubbing the lacquer directly onto the surface, so you can feel the beauty of the wood. They do not impair the wood's breathing, and the antibacterial properties of the lacquer prevent food from spoiling, so you can enjoy them with peace of mind. It's a good idea to buy multiple bowls in different colors for couples or families.

The more you use it, the more beautiful it becomes

The more lacquer is used, the more glossy it becomes and the brighter and more beautiful the color becomes. Because natural wood (solid wood) is used, even if it is the same wood, each piece has a different look, and you can enjoy the changes in appearance (as it ages).

Easy to clean

You may think that maintenance is difficult, but Rokurosha's BASE series has a wiped lacquer finish, which is applied multiple times, making it stain-resistant and water-resistant, so you can use it with ease. You can also use a neutral detergent, and after use, quickly wash it with a sponge, wipe off the water with a soft cloth, and then wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.

● Before using your new lacquerware
*Lacquerware that has just been painted has a unique smell. If this bothers you, store it in a well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight and the smell will disappear naturally.
- If you're in a hurry, you can reduce the smell by applying diluted vinegar to a soft cloth and wiping it several times.

● Precautions for use
- Avoid using scrubbing brushes, etc. and clean with the soft side of a sponge and a neutral detergent.
- Avoid direct sunlight and UV rays as they may cause fading.
- Avoid extreme dryness or humidity, such as using a refrigerator, dishwasher, or exposing it to direct heat.
・Please refrain from using over open flames, in microwaves, ovens, etc.

●Please be sure to check before purchasing.
・Even if the product is the same, there will be individual differences in size, color, etc., because the products are handmade. Please enjoy these as the unique characteristics of each product.
・We use natural wood (solid wood). Even if it is the same wood, each piece has a different look, so you cannot specify the grain or color. Thank you for your understanding.
- There may be unevenness in the lacquer, or the degree to which the lacquer has permeated may vary depending on the grain and knots of the wood, resulting in lighter and lighter shades of lacquer. Each piece also has a slightly different color.
