BASE Soba Bowl

The solid soba bowl has a lacquer finish and an elegant appearance. Rokurosha's original soba bowl is slightly larger than usual, and when you put soba in it, it stimulates your appetite and looks beautiful. It is an easy-to-use soba bowl that is full of attention to detail. In addition to being used as a soba bowl, it can also be used as a serving dish for salads and simmered dishes.

Wiped lacquer finish

Rokurosha's soba bowls come in two types: "raw lacquer finish" and "black lacquer finish." The lacquer is applied by rubbing it directly into the surface, so you can feel the beauty of the wood in both cases. It does not impair the wood's ability to breathe, and the antibacterial properties of the lacquer prevent food from spoiling, allowing you to enjoy delicious food without worry. It's a good idea to buy several in different colors for couples or families.

The more you use it, the more beautiful it becomes

The more lacquer is used, the more glossy it becomes and the brighter, more beautiful the color becomes. Because we use natural wood (solid wood), each piece of wood has a different look, even if it is the same wood. You can also enjoy the changes in its appearance over time.

Easy to clean

You may think that maintenance is difficult, but Rokurosha's BASE series is finished with multiple coats of wiped lacquer, making it stain-resistant and water-resistant, so you can use it with ease. You can also use a neutral detergent, and after use, quickly wash it with a sponge or similar, wipe off any water with a soft cloth, and then wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.

● Before using your new lacquerware
*Lacquerware that has just been painted has a unique smell. If this bothers you, store it in a well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight and the smell will disappear naturally.
- If you're in a hurry, you can reduce the smell by applying diluted vinegar to a soft cloth and wiping it several times.

● Precautions for use
- Avoid using scrubbing brushes, etc. and clean with the soft side of a sponge and a neutral detergent.
- Avoid direct sunlight and UV rays as they may cause fading.
- Avoid extreme dryness or humidity, such as using a refrigerator, dishwasher, or exposing it to direct heat.
・Please refrain from using over open flames, in microwaves, ovens, etc.

●Please be sure to check before purchasing.
・Even if the product is the same, there will be individual differences in size, color, etc., because they are handmade. Please enjoy these as the unique characteristics of each product, which is one of a kind.
・We use natural wood (solid wood). Even if it is the same wood, each piece has a different look, so we cannot accept requests for specific wood grain or color. Thank you for your understanding.
- There may be unevenness in the lacquer, or the degree to which the lacquer has permeated may vary depending on the grain and knots of the wood, resulting in lighter and lighter shades of lacquer. Each piece also has a slightly different color.
