BASE 01 Soup bowl

The soup bowl features a high base and is finished with wiped lacquer. It is large and has a dignified presence. With a stable base, an easy-to-hold size, and just the right amount of capacity, Rokurosha's original soup bowl is easy to use and packed with attention to detail. Compared to ordinary bowls, the design is also excellent, as it curves almost vertically.

Random Muscles

Random lines are made on the surface of the wood to create a range of shades, giving it a wild impression.

Wiped lacquer finish

Rokurosha's soup bowls come in two types: "raw lacquer finish" and "black lacquer finish." The lacquer is applied by rubbing it directly into the surface, so you can feel the beauty of the wood in both cases. It does not impair the wood's breathing, and the antibacterial properties of lacquer prevent food from spoiling, allowing you to enjoy it safely and deliciously. It would be nice for couples and families to have multiple pieces in different colors.

The more you use it, the more beautiful it becomes

The more lacquer is used, the more glossy it becomes and the brighter, more beautiful the color becomes. Because we use natural wood (solid wood), each piece of wood has a different look, even if it is the same wood. You can also enjoy the changes in its appearance over time.

Easy to clean

You may think that maintenance is difficult, but Rokurosha's BASE series is finished with multiple coats of wiped lacquer, making it stain-resistant and water-resistant, so you can use it with ease. You can also use a neutral detergent, and after use, quickly wash it with a sponge or similar, wipe off any water with a soft cloth, and then wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.
