This is the "Campanella Oval Plate" by sunny-craft, made in Shigaraki. The crisp black color and hand-drawn polka dot pattern create a cute look. The matte texture and smooth feel are also attractive.

A simple oval plate with a sharp black base and white hand-drawn dots. The small plate is 1.2cm deep and the large plate is 2.2cm deep, so you can serve dishes with liquid or sauce. If you have multiple small and large plates, you can use them for a variety of dishes.

The small size (W17.5cm, D12cm) is perfect not only for serving small portions of a single dish, but also for serving Japanese sweets and other snacks, chocolates, and cookies.
The large size (W30cm, D18cm) is the perfect size for use as a pasta dish or a one-plate dish. It is a versatile dish that is indispensable on the dinner table every day as a side dish for dinner. When you have guests over, it does not take up as much space on the table as a large plate and gives a neat impression.

Before Use

Ceramics are absorbent, so dirt will inevitably stick to them. Sunny-craft recommends boiling the pot in rice water before use (and then letting it cool naturally). This will help prevent dirt and stains. After use, wash it immediately and dry it thoroughly before storing it. If you lightly rinse it in water before using it, it will be less likely to soak in.
