The seed scissors made by blacksmith Shoji Umeki are hardened.
These scissors are completely hand-made by hammering and forging steel.

The twisted blade, called "neri," enhances its sharpness.
This "kneading" process means there is no need to sharpen the blade for years.
It is said to maintain its sharpness.
