These bento boxes are carefully made one by one by Usagoya, a bento box artist who has a workshop in Chizu Town.
Chizu Cedar has been carefully cultivated by the mountain people.
A processing technique that cuts straight-growing Chizu cedar straight down without distortion, bringing out the beautiful grain.
Magewappa lunch boxes made from fine wood are produced using the traditions, wisdom, and techniques of the many craftsmen in Chizu Town.
You can choose from three types of bento boxes.
Magewappa lunch box [Tsuki no Koro] (small round type)
A small bento box made from magewappa wood. Recommended for women, small children, and those who don't want to mix rice and side dishes.
Magewappa lunch box [Kage] (large round type)
A beautiful round lunch box. The deep bento box is recommended for Nokkeben. It can be used by a wide range of people, from men and women to children.
Magewappa lunch box [Izayoi] (oval type)
The oval-shaped bento box is just the right size for serving food. It has dividers, making it easy to arrange food and is recommended for those who don't want to mix rice and side dishes.
