After graduating from Fukuoka University Faculty of Law, he went to France. After returning to Japan, he completed a training course in small-item pottery wheel techniques at the Shigaraki Ceramic Research Institute, then trained at Shigaraki Maruju Kiln and Shigaraki Sodo Kiln. In 2003, he became independent in his hometown of Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. He continues to create pottery with passion, guided by the motto "Simple and long-lasting."
