Mortar with a Spout and No Grooves
Unlike typical mortars with grooves, the interior has no grooves, instead featuring a unique finish with only a rough, fine texture. This texture allows for effective grinding even without grooves. Since there are no grooves, food doesn't get stuck, allowing for stress-free grinding and easy removal of ingredients. Cleanup after cooking is also very easy. It can smoothly grind sesame seeds, spices, nuts, and even sticky ingredients like yams. The calm appearance of the black glaze makes it perfect for serving ground ingredients directly to the table as a dish.Crush, Grind, Mix, and Pour
Thanks to its spout design, grated ingredients or mixed dressings can be poured directly. The deep bowl is easy to use for mixing and blending, fulfilling the roles of a "mortar + bowl + pouring vessel" all in one, allowing you to "crush, grind, mix, and pour." This mortar is versatile for a wide range of dishes, both Japanese and Western, as well as desserts, and can handle everything from cooking to serving. The pestle is made from teak wood, known as one of the world's three great hardwoods. The appeal of teak lies in its durability and ease of handling, owing to its high natural oil content. Renowned as shipbuilding timber, it boasts excellent water resistance and durability, making it an ideal match for mortars that handle moist ingredients. It resists stains and is less prone to deterioration with daily use. The chic black glaze and the natural wood grain harmonize, enhancing the atmosphere simply by being placed on the dining table.
