"Simple and Enduring."
Katsufumi Baba Pottery Studio values this motto, and their products perfectly embody it.
Delicious, freshly cooked rice
Katsufumi Baba Pottery Studio's "3-Cup Black Rice Cooker Pot" uses the far-infrared effect unique to clay pots, allowing heat to slowly penetrate to the core of each grain, resulting in fluffy, sweet rice. This warmly handcrafted rice cooker pot by Mr. Baba makes everyday meals even more delicious and a little bit luxurious. The 3-cup capacity is convenient for households of 3 to 5 people. Once the rice is cooked, you can take it directly to the table. It can be served at the table while maintaining its temperature, allowing you to enjoy the delicious taste of freshly cooked rice. The deep color of the black glaze naturally blends not only with traditional Japanese settings but also with modern dining tables, making it versatile for everyday use and entertaining. The thick clay pot also stores heat effectively, making it resistant to cooling down.
Delicious even when cold or reheated
Rice cooked in a clay pot has the characteristic of retaining its sweetness even when cold, as the heat penetrates slowly to the core of each grain. If you have leftover rice from the morning, you can transfer it to an ohitsu (wooden rice container) and enjoy it deliciously for lunch. The individual grains of rice remain firm and less sticky over time, making it ideal for bento boxes. Furthermore, it is microwave-safe, so you can warm up leftover rice directly in the microwave. Thanks to the "far-infrared effect x gradual temperature change x humidity control unique to clay pots," the rice remains delicious even when cold or reheated.
Basic Rice Cooking Instructions
[1] Add rice and water (approximately 1:1.1-1.2 ratio), then wait a little while over low heat until the entire pot warms up.[2] Increase to high heat.
[3] Once it boils, reduce to very low heat for 5 minutes.
[4] Turn off the heat and let it steam on the trivet for 10 minutes.
[5] Gently stir from the bottom with a rice paddle, and it's done.
The far-infrared effect helps cook delicious rice.
Various cooking methods are also introduced online and in videos, so please try to find the method that suits you best.
